Baja - 500+
April 17 - 20, 2003
VFTR father/son teams went to baja for a trip of a lifetime. We were ablely led and supported by Trail Boss Tours with Nancy Emde and Ron Wilson, who filled in for Nancy's husband, Chris. Ron had no trouble keeping our young hot shoes in his wake! Bob and Tim provided fantastic support and all we had to do was ride. The pictures should attest to the great support they provided.

The first day was a long ride but with lots of variety as we headed south to Mike's Sky ranch. The second day we headed generally west to the coast and then south along the beach to spend the night at the Old Mill Inn in San Quintin (not the Prison!). Day 3 saw heading back north along the coast, probably the most scenic day of the ride. The last day we headed out on some of the Baja 500 course to be run at the end of the month with some fun terrain and interesting hill climbs and then retraced our route back to base camp at Rancho Tecate.
